In the 1880's a lot of businesses started popping up around Brisbane. One of these was ""The Queensland Tin Smelting and Assaying Works" 1872 and reinvented around 1884. Quay Street Bulimba.

Bulimba Ferry 1912 The "Balmoral

The Balmoral served from around 1895-1924 as a cable ferry. It has been mentioned as a hand over hand ferry in some reports however in this photo it's winch is steam powered.
